iOS 5 Sync Clarity

I was confused at first with the new sync features of iOS 5, iCloud and iTunes wireless.

But a quick “wah?” later and I realized you have two sync options and you really only need one at a time. If you have no computer then iCloud is the only way to backup and sync files. But if you do have a computer with iTunes then you already have the cloud at home. With the new wireless sync feature in iTunes your devices sync automatically and pretty much eliminates the need to use iCloud at all.

Let me know what you think.

iPhone 4S(teve), a memorial to Steve Jobs

Now it all makes sense, the iPhone 4S launch event was never intended to be a complete new design release as everyone waited and later disappointed with a lack of iPhone 5. The initial disapointment on Wall Street will be overcome by the cost of the phone but there is one other underlying suprise.

The iPhone 4S seems to be a subtle tribute Four Steve.

Rest in peace.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life,”
Jobs said. “Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results
of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions
drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to
follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you
truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs
